Independence Day Flag Manicure

Fourth of July Flag Nails

Herein follows a fun and festive DIY manicure to celebrate independence day! You'll need small star shaped stickers, nail tape (or regular scotch tape) and red, white, and blue polish (of course).

Start with a simple coat of white paint on all five nails. I'd give it quite a while to be super dry - I left mine overnight.

Next place stickers in the center of your thumbnails, the color of the sticker doesn't matter.

This is the only tricky part, you may want to get a helper involved. I only did my left hand! Make some stripes as evenly spaced as you can across the four fingernails using the tape. Make sure to leave some hanging over the sides so you can pull it off later.

I know, it looks nothing like the US flag. Enter the red and blue polish! Make sure all the stickers are pressed down firmly.

Paint your thumbnail blue and fingernails red. I only used one coat of each color. LET DRY. Seriously, this step is so important. Make sure the polish is completely dry, and go ahead and gently peel off the stickers.

Ta Da! There you have it, a patriotic and cute mani just in time for the 4th of July.

This is what I did on my other hand. Still pretty cute I think!

    1. I got it on Ebay, just searching under nail tape. It also works to leave on and paint over it with clear polish - super cute!
